Portsmouth is one of the most densely populated cities in Southern England, and is unusual as most of its built-up area occupies Portsea Island, linked to the mainland by road and rail bridges. Although there is a Roman fort at nearby Portchester, occupied later by the Saxons and Normans, there was no settlement on the site of Portsmouth at the time of the 1086 Domesday Book. The town developed in medieval times and received its first charter in 1194 from King Richard I; soon afterwards it became a major naval base. It has the world’s oldest dry dock, and is home to several famous ships, including HMS Victory, HMS Warrior and the Mary Rose, raised from the Solent in 1982. Portsmouth remains an important naval base and is home to a large proportion of the British service fleet. The waterfront area is now dominated by the Spinnaker Tower, 560 feet high, the United Kingdom’s tallest building outside London. Other things to see in the city include the house where Charles Dickens was born, and the City Museum, which contains a permanent exhibition devoted to another famous writer, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, who lived in the town.

In 1895 work began to construct a new seaport and harbour next to the tiny village of Zeebrugge, situated on the North Sea coast. Today the fast-expanding port of Zeebrugge is one of the busiest in Europe and its marina is Belgium’s most important fishing port. Many attempts were made to destroy this important port during both World Wars. Zeebrugge is ideally located for discovering the historic city of Bruges, and delightful seaside resorts with long sandy beaches can be visited by using the trams that run the whole length of the Belgian coast. Please note that no food may be taken ashore in Belgium. We shall not be offering shuttle buses to Bruges, but you may visit the city on an optional excursion: those visiting Bruges should note that there may be quite a long walk from the coach to the town centre. Melding classic European flair with the charm of a seaside fishing town, soak in historic Old Town, explore the cafes and Baroque guild houses of Butchers' Street, or take a scenic sail in Ghent.

The Dock

Okay, frankly we'd be wild to build a ship and not have a restaurant with a sun-drenched lounging area so you can combine all the things you love in one place (eating and views, obviously) so yep — we did that. The Dock feels like an elegant cabana caught between∘ the chill, seaside perfection of Ibiza and the rustic-chic resorts of Brazil.

The Galley

Modeled on popular food halls where visitors can taste a cornucopia from different restaurants, The Galley, designed by Softroom, will be the main space for the quick and casual meal throughout the day. The food hall will feature a mix of more than eight shops and food carts, each offering a unique concept with irresistible signature dishes that changes to suit the time of day. The Galley’s concepts include a dedicated bakery and pastry shop, a panini shop, a burger grill, a taco shack, a sushi bar with bento∘ boxes, a noodle bar, a soup and salad stand, and a 24-hour American diner.

The Test Kitchen

This part British pub, part modern craft brewery inspired taproom, provides plenty∘ of chill eclectic places to sit back and sip, or just grab a growler for those ‘bring your brew with you’, kind of days. Sailors can get lost in sound at Voyage Vinyl, our record shop at sea. The Manor

The two-story, three bar space, named after Richard's first recording studio, is inspired by a classic theatrical zeitgeist - layered with a moody & sexy ‘70s, punk vibe. Ground-breaking shows∘ will kick the night off before it transitions into a mind-blowing nightclub.

Aquatic Club

With smooth curves and nautical details, we've created a pool deck with the sophisticated glam of a contemporary yacht. Whether you're looking for mornings spent sunbathing in one of our daybeds, or letting last night's choices melt away as you glide∘ through the water — our pool club is a serene space for ultimate relaxation.

The Red Room

Our larger-than-life entertainment space is the first ever transformational, multi-form theater at sea. Boundary-pushing performances on the traditional Proscenium stage or late-night dance parties on the flat-floor configuration — undiscovered experiences are always unfolding here. Designed by renowned theater design consultants, Auerbach Pollock Friedlander — we've created a unique and flexible (while still being intimate) theater space that delivers a sea of possibilities.

Duel Reality
Duel Reality is a Shakespearean tale∘ told through circus acts created by 7 Fingers - thrilling and fast-paced retelling of two star crossed lovers – with The Red Room in alley mode, the audience is close to the action - no further than 8 rows from the performance.

Ships In The Night
Ships In The Night is also created by 7 Fingers this production features re-covered songs that are familiar, where dance and technology combine to create a live music video experience.
