Grand Canada, Greenland, Iceland

34 nights from £1,499pp departing Monday 12th Sep 2022

Say goodbye to everyday life for more than a month as you embark on an amazing voyage of discovery to the far-flung north. With stops en route in the charming archipelago of Faroe, plus the world’s largest island of Greenland, we will take you to the beautiful east coast of Canada, where seabirds wheel and glide in bright blue skies. Here you’ll explore the stunning unspoilt landscapes of Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and Quebec before returning via Iceland’s colourful and cosmopolitan capital of Reykjavik.

CRUISE HIGHLIGHTS

Narsar...

Narsarsuaq is located close to Brattahlid, the farm of tenth-century Viking explorer Erik the Red. It is also home to the Greenlandicum Arboretum, a nature reserve hosting more than 110 rare species of tree.

Qaqortoq

South Greenland’s largest town was founded in 1775 and is famed for its colonial-style architecture. Its charming town square houses Greenland’s oldest fountain, whilst historical relics discovered in the area stretch back more than 4,000 years.

Halifax

The capital of Nova Scotia is a modern city, set with gleaming skyscrapers but also grand Victorian houses and quaint wooden homes. Whilst you’re here, take in the Citadel National Historic Site – a perfectly preserved nineteenth century fort with spectacular views.

Montreal

Distinctly French, Montreal is a blur of great restaurants and bars. It also has a strong emphasis on culture, including the superb Museum of Fine Arts plus the McCord Museum, which is packed to the rafters with Canadian artefacts.

Quebec City

One of North America’s oldest cities, Quebec is a haven for culture and the arts, featuring 37 National Historic Sites of Canada, countless museums and theatres, and some stunning early Canadian architecture, including the Château Frontenac Hotel.

Baie-Comeau

Make sure you visit the Jardin des Glaciers – a multi-sensory experience that will bring you into the last Ice Age. You can also lose yourself in the Pointe-Saint-Gilles coastal woodlands, with their seven miles of tranquil forest trails.

Sydney, Nova Scotia

Sydney’s picturesque waterfront is the perfect place for a stroll, whilst the Centre for Craft & Design showcases the work of more than 90 local artisans. You can even have your picture taken next to the world’s largest fiddle.
