We are able to offer a variety of cruises including a visit to the Terracotta Warriors. If you have not been on a cruise before or wish to extend your holiday, why not combine your cruise holiday with a stay in China giving you extra time to immerse yourself in this incredible heritage site culture? The Terracotta Warriors is the perfect place to include in your cruise adventure.

Today, Xian is a fast-paced, bustling metropolis, a true hub of modern Chinese culture. Yet it’s a city draped in history, once the ancient capital of Imperial China, where the legendary Silk Road wound to a halt. Backed by the slopes of the Qin Mountains, Xian’s ancient treasures retain their former glory amongst the skyscrapers and cosmopolitan buzz. The towering, 14th century walls still dominate the centre, one of the few Chinese cities whose original walls remain intact. Left behind from the Ming-dynasty, visitors can explore its walls, watchtowers, turrets and gate towers up close. At the very heart of Xian, the iconic, 14th century Bell and Drum Tower rises dramatically in red and golden splendour.

One of China’s most famous landmarks, as well as one of the world’s most praised archaeological discoveries, the Terracotta Army can also be found here. This life-size army, made up of thousands of statues, was built to stand guard over the tomb of China’s first Emperor, Qin Shi Huang.

The city invites travellers to uncover the tombs of other dynasties, as well as pagodas and museums, all nestled amongst its sleek, glass high-rises. Winding, crooked backstreets of the Muslim Quarter are perfect for getting lost in, overflowing with spice-laden vendors, elegant mosques and rich, exotic food.
